Curious about meditation but not sure where to begin—or looking to deepen your existing practice? Join Rebecca for The Art of Meditation, an experiential workshop exploring what meditation is, why we practice it, and how to create the conditions for a meaningful meditation practice.

We’ll begin with simple yoga postures and breathing techniques to prepare the body and mind for meditation, explore the importance of finding a comfortable and supportive seat, and discover how props can make sitting with ease more accessible. We’ll also explore the role of centering, pranayama, mantra, mudra, visualization, and other traditional tools used to cultivate focus and inner awareness.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll be guided through several simple, accessible meditation practices—including Ajapa Japa, Ham Sa Kriya, and Sat Yam—that you can easily incorporate into your practice at home. We’ll close with grounding practices to help you leave feeling centered, refreshed, and connected.

Whether you’re completely new to meditation or looking to expand your current practice, this workshop will give you practical tools and a deeper understanding of the art and purpose of meditation.

Please dress comfortably for gentle yoga and movement. Bring any props that help you sit comfortably; bolsters, blocks, and blankets will also be available.
